I was checking the programme of the Wirksworth Festival on 11th - 26th September. It looks like a really well thought out programme, which has inspired me to make a note in my diary to go there and enjoy something cultural locally. I particularly liked the idea that many of the shop windows around town will be showcasing art that they are describing as 'lightworks' which will look great during an evening stroll around town. Who needs to go to Nice when we can take a continental pre-dinner cultural promenade through Wirksworth!
