Chris Worth from The Bookshop in King Street is keen to make her views known about the prospect of having Tesco come to town. She is concerned that the superstore will also be selling non-grocery items at knock-down prices. "This is not competition, but a death sentence for the town's independent shops. Once this has happened shoppers will have lost the diversity of choice available in these local stores."
