Tomorrow its the annual Christmas lights switch-on in the market square. Be in Market Place in time for the 6pm start...
This year the grand switch-on will be attended by Belper Mayor Jackie Cox and Alex Trelinski from Radio Derby. They will be joined by the winner of the schools' poster competition.
There are rumours that Father Christmas is planning to attend so keep an eye on the grotto at the council offices on King Street. Young children will be thrilled by Santa, the Punch and Judy show and the clown, whereas the older ones might be more lit up by the idea of the musical entertainment provided by Ashover Practise Band, TFX and No Fixed Abode.
This whole event should get us all in the mood for Christmas - Terry Porter, Belper's town crier will make sure of it. And for that perfect seasonal touch, Churches Together has organised a roaming nativity.
Aaaahhh! Get yourselves into Belper market square well in time for all of this fabulous community seasonal stuff!
