At The Nursery in Belfast you will find experienced childcare staff that work closely with the professionals at Homefirst Community Trust to ensure the health and safety of your child at all times. With the emotional and physical needs of your child at the heart of all they do; giving you peace of mind and contentment.  

Based in two buildings, this day nursery opened in Newtownabbey in February 2001 and is registered to provide childcare for 85 children aged 6 weeks – 11years.  All staff are fully qualified and registered with training in many aspects of childcare. 

Security is paramount at this day nursery.  All visitors and parents are greeted by a member of staff and a strict drop off/collection policy is adhered to, and photographic identification is required by those not initially nominated to do so.

The limited numbers in each room ensures that each child’s needs are catered for and they receive the highest level in childcare available.

The Castle is the pre-school house, in which and consists of an individual room for:

0 – 9 months

9 – 18 months 

18 months – 2 years

2 – 2.5 years

2.5 – 3 years

The Department of Education’s curriculum is adhered to in the pre-school rooms.

The Schoolhouse caters for pre and school aged children with a  room for:

3 – 5 years and

5 – 11 years

Children of school age are provided with a breakfast, are dropped off and picked up at school provided with a snack, homework supervision and playtimes. 

With a qualified chef working on the premises your child will be provided with a fully varied healthy, nutritional menu with all meals prepared and cooked on the premises.
