Paul and his team installed a four zone gas fired heating system with integrated solar panels into a house extension I recently had built. Paul made himself available at short notice to provide a no nonsence, plain english, quotation and to complete the installation as my nominated installer emigrated! His team worked well interfacing with both my builder, and the materials which the solar panel company left for installation, to complete the new heating system in the minimum of time with the minimum of fuss. Unfortunately the remains of the existing heating system were not up to scratch and after considerable time spent trying to make the system work Paul's team replaced the remainder of the old heating system in 2 working days at a very reasonable price. Since the installation has been completed, Paul has made himself available to offer me assistance with the operation of the system. My only regret is that I did not call Paul in the first place.

Paul and his team fitted a solar system for hot water in my house. Along with an energy efficient boiler and water tank my gas central heating and water costs less than £50 per month. Paul and his team did a fantastic job. I have an old Victorian house and the pipe work had to run alongside the existing structure but the pipes are hidden in box work and the main tank and pipe work inside a cupboard. I can thoroughly recommend Paul and his team. Their work is professional, of extremely good standard, fairly priced and competitive. In the winter my hot water is on a timer that Paul fitted so it only heats up if the solar hasn’t been enough that day. The residual heat in the tank and the solar I do get (even when overcast) means that my timer is only set to come on for 30mins in the morning and 30mins at night – but only when needed. In the summer it rarely comes on at all. I have a plentiful supply of really hot water. There is something great about having a huge hot bath and knowing that you havenʼt paid to heat the water!

I had gas installed by Paul Holland Plumbing and Heating five years ago and have had all my services done by them since. I couldnʼt be happier with the work and customer service that I receive and would recommend them to anyone. Because of this and rising heating costs I decided to get solar panels and also asked Paul to install them. Again I am really happy with these as my gas bills are about 40% lower as there are three of us in my house taking one or two showers per day. They have been well worth the money and there was minimal bother putting them in. It only took them three days and I noticed the difference in the very next gas bill. Now I donʼt have to feel guilty taking all the baths I want.

I have a three storey Victorian house that is only partially double-glazed but now my gas bills for heating water, the house, and cooking come to less than £50 per month! His prices are very reasonable – some of the other quotes I had were over £4K more. The solar panels produce the majority of my hot water, even on winter days and I only have to put the heating on in the winter for a couple of hours a day. My house was not an easy one to manage given the age and condition. Paul and his team coped admirably and responded very quickly to any problems I had. I was able to gain a grant for £1500 for the solar that Paul helped me get but even without the grant installing the solar would have been worth it. Paul uses a manifold system where there are no copper jointed pipes under the floor. Whilst this was something I was uncertain of at the start I have now found them much better than the older style of plumbing, especially as there are no joints in the subfloor that can leak. Paul also ran my ground floor pipes across the floor to mimic underfloor heating so now the downstairs kitchen is so warm I have turned the heating off in there altogether and happily walk around in socks. I can thoroughly recommend Paul and his team. They are professional, hard working , reasonably priced and very knowledgeable about the different products they offer.
