The food and atmosphere in Giraffe is great. The restaurant is always busy and the service tip-top. All meals have been uber-tasty!

We used to go to Giraffe very often, but it lost its way a few years ago and we gradually stopped going. We went back last Saturday night - not realising it had changed hands until that day - and a quick check on the www revealed it was still BYO. (Phew) However - we did not know you could (and, in fact, should!) book - so we turned up at 8 PM, wine in hand expecting to have to wait for a while. The staff were brilliant - explaining that it was now advisable to book, but they sat us in the seating area upstairs, we perused the excellent menu, opened our wine and the attentive waitress gladly brought some bread and oils while we waited for a table. Once we had our table, we found the food of excellent quality - the steaks (and pepper sauce) were pronounced excellent by my wife, and my squid starter was mouth-watering (one minor complaint - it was a very small portion). The pork belly was delicious - and the food was much more delicate and flavoursome than ever before at this venue.

We will definitely be back - and long before another 2 years have passed!

I would give it 9/10 for food, and 10/10 for value.

The fact that this Giraffe is constantly busy is testament alone to how good it is. I have been there often and so have sampled widely across the menu - itʼs pretty much all the same high standard. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and the staff are always friendly.

Now that our children have flown the nest my wife and I tend to eat out more frequently. Sometimes our preference is for a full blown 3 course a la carte dinner, but more usually it comprises a main course, desert and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Giraffe Restaurant on the Stranmillis Road in Belfast is a place where we keep going back to time after time - precisely because we can do both. The decor is modern and welcoming, the service is efficient and friendly and the choice of menus caters for afternoon, evening and weekend dining equally well. The cost of the food and the fact that you can bring your own alcohol, in our book, makes Giraffe excellent value for money.

My family and friends are regulars at Giraffe and highly recomend the food and atmosphere in the restaurant. We love the steaks as they are cooked perfectly to our request and the chicken gougons are always a popular choice - there is something for eveyone on the menu including the kids.

My family and I have been a regulars in Giraffe for a number of years and the staff always take good care of us. Obviously the foodʼs great too.
