Welcome to Chiltern Woodland Burial Park

Arranging a funeral for a loved one is one of the most difficult tasks you will ever undertake. There are so many decisions that need to be made in a short space of time including the setting for the final resting place. The Chiltern Woodland Burial Park near Beaconsfield offers a beautiful and unique location where you can say goodbye in a peaceful and unhurried way.

The Chiltern Woodland Burial Park, near Beaconsfield, offers a different approach to saying goodbye to a loved one. Set in 72 acres of mature woodland with all the buildings, from reception to the various gathering halls, constructed from natural and sustainable materials, you will find the park uplifting.

The feeling of tranquillity is the overriding impression and of course the trees and countryside give a magnificent backdrop. The Gathering Hall provides a warm and welcoming meeting place with complementary refreshments served to all attending. Thereafter the Woodland Hall is where the services for all faiths take place. It can seat 130 people and a loudspeaker system to the courtyard and Gathering Hall can be used to allow more people to attend and listen to the service. The Woodland Hall has a panoramic view of the woodland, almost as if you were outside and whilst no funeral can be described as a happy event, the owners and designers have thought carefully how to take away that feeling of dread and fear that people experience at such times.

A minimum of two hours is promised for all services and the disabled and elderly are fully catered for including chauffeured buggies should they be needed. The distances between Halls and actual burial areas are short and full of the sights and smells of the living woodland that surrounds. Music is welcomed whether it be recorded or live.

Burials can take place in the park, or following cremation, ashes can be either scattered or buried in the woodland. There are various plots available, each carefully selected, and wooden memorials and stones mark each unique grave. In years to come generations will be able to find graves as digital records are kept of the position allocated to an individual. The Chiltern Woodland Burial Park is open 365 days a year for people to visit and pay their respects or simply to enjoy the peace and quiet that it offers.

There are so many reasons to come and see the Chiltern Woodland Burial Park but perhaps the most poignant is that this truly is a place to celebrate life.
