The Straight Hair Company was established in Bath in 1998 by Darren Wylie.

Our haircut appointments are one hour long so that you can walk out of our salon looking your very best. Your hairdresser will look after the whole haircut and hair colouring process. They will not pass their work on.


Our mission is to give all our customers the time that their hair deserves.

This means:

• Our appointments for haircuts are one hour long. Many other hairdressing salons can only spare you 45 hurried minutes.
• Our three stylists do not pass their work on. Your hairdresser will consult, cut, colour and finish your haircut. All technical work, including hair colouring is done by the hairdresser.
• During the one hour appointment, we spend up to 15 minutes on consultation, 30 minutes on the haircut and a further 15 minutes for the full effect finish so that you can walk out of our salon at your very best.
• Importantly, the right time is given for each appointment. This allows for painstaking precision for hair colouring, haircutting and styling. Your hairdresser is involved in the whole process.

In addition, we can offer early morning appointments (for the price of a bacon sarnie from Blackstones in Bath!) and evening appointments.
