Carey of Madison Oakley was the Estate Agent to whom we went to purchase a property in Bath. From the outset, Carey was helpful and constructive in arranging visits, liaising between us and the vendor, and assisting in the negotiations on our offers. He it was who suggested a way of resolving a potential issue, that of the timing of the purchase. Once the offer was accepted, and the solicitors began their parts of the process, Carey was instrumental in moving the process along with some timely and effective interventions. That the process was ultimately successful is due in large part to his sensible efforts. We would thoroughly recommend him for help in any house purchase processes.

Will at Madison Oakley was nothing short of perfect - he arranged lots of viewings (always providing feedback immediately afterwards) and gave me a weekly call to update on various other aspects of progress. Most of the big agents charge twice as much money and deliver half the customer service of Madison Oakley. If I ever need to sell a property in Bath or the surrounding area again, this is the agent I will choose to handle it for me.

Madison Oakley are different in the sense that they are a small owner run business and they care about their reputation. They know their local market intimately, they’re very interested in their local area and I would say they are streets ahead of anybody else. They’ve sourced numerous properties for me and also sourced tenants. They also have a letting business with which I’m very impressed. I have tried other letting agents, but I would say that they seem to work harder. They have a pleasant approach, they’re straightforward to deal with.

I have known Willum from Madison Oakley for a number of years as he sold me my first flat many moons ago whilst working for another Estate Agents in Bath. Will and Carey at Madison Oakley were not at all what I expected from an estate agent, and I mean that in a good way! The most obvious strength was their honesty, openness and realism.
They did everything to properly market the property, get the right people in, secure the sale and take it through to completion.

All the way through the process I knew I could rely on them to do what they said they would do, If anything they were waiting on me.

At the same time as being totally professional it was also a very friendly and even pleasurable experience.

Nobody could have worked harder, more diligently, more honestly than Carey Gilliland and Will Long did. I have never met an estate agent who has been so willing to go far and beyond his job description to help us to sell our deceased mother’s property. The sale has been completed in August, the property had been on the market since February. They found a buyer really quickly, but it took some time to complete which had nothing to do with Madison Oakley estate agents themselves. Carey did everything he could to coordinate everything with our purchasers who were living in Vietnam at the time. He managed to bridge all the gaps. The people who bought from us also said they would never look anywhere else for an estate agent, because Carey really had gone far and beyond his job to help them as well as us. He really worked hard on all fronts because we also had issues with conservation, English Heritage, building issues and he was absolutely amazing. He never stopped helping us and doing far and above his job which you would have reasonably expected or even hoped for.
Communication was superb, he was always available on the phone and Will was always there to back up when Carey was held up in a meeting.
I really can’t praise him highly enough for the service he has given us and his ability to go above and beyond what you would reasonably expect from an estate agent.
