We are an appalling challenge for a photographer. 2 grumpy teenage sons, one grumpy dad and a fairly even tempered mother. He put us all at our ease, and made the photography session fun so that he obtained really excellent photographs of all of us. At no time did we feel pressured, or hassled and the meeting to select the photos was just as professional and un-pressured. We have wonderful photographs capturing a moment in time and were able to give various family members special Christmas presents. We couldn’t recommend Marko more highly. Dear Marko We all enjoyed the photo shoot experience, even my lads who, you can imagine at their age, are easily bored! We found it really hard to decide on a single image as a record of the day so had several smaller ones. In retrospect vaguely wonder if we should have made a stronger effort to have just one really large one but are happy with those we have chosen. Really thought I would prefer the more formal photos but actually like the casual one best so very pleased we decided to bring a change of clothes to ring the changes. I booked a portrait session with Marko for my nephew and niece, as with most young people (22 and 24 ) they were anxious and apprehensive about appearing awkward, self conscious and foolish in front of the camera. However almost immediately Marko made them feel relaxed and comfortable. As well as his photographic skills he has an excellent personality at putting people at ease and genuinely getting the best out of the subjects. The session exceeded the time but Marko made everyone feel as if he just wanted to continue and get the best shot. The portrait was a special birthday present for their mother and on seeing it she cried at the quality of the photograph and it will of course be treasured for life. Thank you Marko

We were all quite nervous about the session with Marko, not to mention pretty tired from a party late the night before! However Marko was very welcoming and put us at ease straight away. The session itself was great fun; he found a way to help us to feel comfortable and also to enjoy the interaction we had together as a family. Marko arranged a time for us to view at our convenience and was very helpful with choosing the best photos. The finished photos were ready on time and we're very impressed with the results, which are of a very high quality. The composite which Marko put together from the photos we chose looks amazing in our lounge. Marko was offering to shoot family groups including up to two well behaved pets. This was an opportunity not to be missed so we made an appointment and asked Marko if we could bring two Irish Wolfhounds with us. Marko didn’t flinch so in due course we arrived at the studio complete with Finlay and Seamus. The next couple of hours were filled with fun trying to get the four of us to pose together as a family group. Finlay had different ideas, but with Marko’s patience and gentle direction the shoot was completed and the studio remained intact. A week later we spent two hours trying to whittle so many good images down to a chosen set. The hard work was worth it, we’ve a wonderful series of prints that show both the fun we had on the day but also that bring out the true character of our hounds – something that is so hard to capture. The prints look superb on the wall and both of them capture the character of the hounds so well. We are really, really pleased with all three prints. A huge thanks to Marko for his work and the wonderful images he has created.

I decided to use Marko for my wedding held at Goldney Hall, Bristol. From the moment I saw his work I knew instantly I needed him for my special day. His work is truly amazing. I wanted my album to look individual but classy with a edgy look, and that's exactly what he's done. From the engagement photo shoot in his well equipped studio to being part of my wedding he was professional throughout. Being discreet when needed through to getting the guests altogether and involved for group shots, Marko was a superstar. I was so impressed with the outcome of the album I ended up wanting more! Therefore myself and Marko decided to take it to the next stage and had some more photos taken with a "Cherish the Dress" photo-shoot with my outstanding wedding gown and my 17 hands thoroughbred stallion! It has been really difficult to put into words how much we have appreciated all the time and hard work you put into making our wedding album so amazing. When planning our wedding, we said that the photos were one of the most important things to get right as they would tell the story of the day in years to come; so choosing a photographer was not easy. However, when we were introduced to you, you immediately set us at ease and seemed to know exactly what we wanted. Meeting you on a few times in the year prior to our wedding just made us more certain that we had made the right choice. The engagement shots were a great idea to get to know you and how you work, and for you to get to know us and the things we enjoy: all of which made a real difference on the day (and the photos made fantastic thank-you presents for the parents!) On the day we couldn’t have asked for more. Having previously got to know you and Nikki, meant that we were completely relaxed around you, something that was very apparent in the photos. Instead of being intrusive, you were both a part of the wedding party and that allowed a good mixture of formal and more relaxed photos – exactly what we wanted! We did not make life easy for you by getting married at Britannia Royal Naval College where the lighting is a challenge, and choosing November when it is dark by 4pm, but you managed to combat both! And then to the album: well, a year on and we still look at it regularly. We have so many positive comments, most people say that they have never seen anything like it….in a positive way!! Our 3 year old nephew summed it up well when he looked though our miniature version of the album and said ‘what a beautiful story’. We cannot say thank you enough for capturing an amazing day in amazing photographs that will keep our memories fresh forever.

A couple of weeks ago my wife and our five children visited Studio Marko in Bath to sit for a family portrait, an important event for us as our children are all under ten years old and we wanted to have something special to keep for ourselves and future generations. We were made so welcome at Marko's studio and our time there was an absolute pleasure. Marko made us all feel so relaxed and built an immediate rapport with our kids. We returned a few days later to select our photographs and it is no exaggeration to say that we were blown away. Marko has an incredible talent. His pictures bring a lump to the throat and in them I can see the wisdom in choosing a top name professional photographer. A few days later we received our album bound in Italian leather full of beautiful photographs that will be in our family archive when we are all long dead. I cannot commend him highly enough. I would just like to offer my thanks to Marko for his beautiful work with my husband and his family for my mother-in-laws birthday gift from us all. They visited Marko for a full family portrait and from what I gather swamped his studio in their droves one Saturday morning! After scoffing all of Marko’s Cadbury Chocolate Finger Biscuits the photography began and the stunning images which were produced at the other end were more than we could have hoped for. They displayed the relaxed, friendly environment in which they were taken with genuine smiles and expressions of happiness on the faces of the participants – so often a posed photograph can look too false, but not when Marko gets to work! He captured the essence of my extended family and more importantly impressed the mother-in-law who is never one to just accept something as it is and always manages to find “just a little something” to comment upon. She was overjoyed with the work and I am yet to hear of her finding fault – so huge congratulations on that front and an even bigger thanks for making this the easiest gift we have ever given her…. Taking photographs captures a moment in time, these then become treasured memories. We wished to have photographed our daughters in the last moments of childhood. We invited Marko to do this. He came to the house and shot the girls in the garden and dandelion field. Because of his friendly, approachable nature we all quickly relaxed and the results were stunning, even captivating. Now we wait with baited breathe as our eldest is about to fly the nest. We wished to capture the close relationship the sisters have. This time we went to the studio. Marko was present at our wedding at the first word of the day. We started of with some more informal pictures, than some pictures of everybody – to make sure we didn’t miss anybody out. We also did some shoots with my bridesmaids. It was really great, everybody was relaxed and enjoying themselves. Then we just got on with our wedding reception and Marko just blended in. Later on we also had a short session to make some photos with peoples close to us. (We had agreed with Marko beforehand who we wanted to be on these pictures.) The best thing was when we returned from our honeymoon. Our wedding day had been really hectic and it was just fantastic to look at our pictures on the website and remember the day. It was just remarkable about little things it was like ‘Oh look Marko also made of picture of this’ and ‘I didn’t know that happened at all’. Having Marko as our photographer was really really good. We had a fantastic day and now we have a fantastic album to remember our wedding day.

Marko was our wedding photographer. Before we officially booked him as our wedding photographer he travelled all the way down from Bath to Cornwall to meet us. We got on very well, and decided we would like him to be our photographer. And what a brilliant choice it was. He definitely had it all absolutely right. He really listened to our needs, what we wanted, how we saw or big day and he acted accordingly. We like more informal pictures, but we also wanted the traditional ones. And that is exactly what Marko did, most of the photographs are informal and relaxed but we also have the traditional ones. We now have a mixture of photographs which we are very happy with. I had some images taken of my brother and myself for my mum’s 50th birthday present. The images he produced were just phenomenal and we decided we would like Marko to become our wedding photographer. Marko is very approachable, laid back, open to any suggestion and ideas. He is someone you can really trust and he puts you at ease. He is just a lovely personality. He came up with loads of ideas and was very well rehearsed. At our wedding Nicky helped out as well and we were very relaxed – even though I’m not kind of a camera person. Originally we just wanted some big wall prints. But during our viewing –which took some 4 hours - we completely changed our minds and went for an album with loads of magnificent photos. Marko has lots of time for us, he explained everything properly and he did put no pressure whatsoever on us to buy. I really think Marko is the most fantastic photographer. Marko from images by Marko took some images from our son Louis. Marko managed to make Louis – age 3 – completely at ease. The shoot, at Marko’s studio went very well, it was relaxed and we all enjoyed it very much. I experienced Marko as a very nice chap but also as an extremely good photographer – he definitely knows what he is doing. What I also very appreciated was that Marko did not push us afterwards to buy loads of images. He really gave us some fantastic images of Louis within budget.
