I was dragged to Genesis kicking and screaming but they showed me how important it was to exercise at 50+ and now I love it! The Staff are so friendly and really know their stuff. There is a wide variety of equipment and so many exercises to do you never get bored. They encourage you to keep going and offer helpful tips on diet as well. I feel so much better. I've got the Genesis Bug and hopefully I will never be cured! Cathy Baker x

I love Genesis because it is such a friendly place and welcomes you whoever you are. I've been a regular for years now and I don't even really like gyms!!!!

This is a really friendly non-judgemental gym with creche facilities. No other gym in Bath runs such a cheap and available creche or is so chilled out and welcoming.

In the beginning Philippa & Tim created Genesis when people were unformed, void of six-packs & fat covered them more than necessary & then a vision from Phil & Tim took Bath by storm. Tim said let there be running machines & there were 3! Phil saw that the equipment was good so made the gym from a void. Tim called the small room Studio & there were morning & evening classes. Nathan said, let there be a crèche in the midst of the week it will enable mothers to workout. Arthur took the bikes & made them into a spinning class and it was so. Rachel said let there be Chiropody & Podiatry. Derek said let the gym put forth stretch classes & boxercise, so people of every kind can take part. The gym brought forth great staff, Simon, Jo, Renee, Louise & Kate for Massage. The team said let us help make humankind into a better image providing they workout to our various programmes & levels of intensity so many Adams & Eves joined Genesis & now live a healthier & fitter life accordingly

They have stuck with us and at our pace..often we couldnt commit to doing the gym so much has been happening and ups and downs in last year...but they dont really judge and when get back on track its like they are just there and thats a realy good thing in a society that often says people have failed in one way or another...Genesis is a place that shows how other places could be run..with consideration for people and reasonable encouragement...it helps.

Lovely people running it, non-competitive clientele so one doesn't feel intimidated by muscle-bound types! And sensible, fully or part-supervised workout programmes that mean you're not tied in for a year.

For someone who is not a gym type it is very friendly and welcoming. The staff are very knowledgeable and very encouraging. I like the fact that you can do short courses without having to join. Its a great place with a a wide range of people - all ages, all fitness levels so no one feels out of place.

Friendly, welcoming, supportive, pleasant atmosphere - a brilliant place to feel good about exercise, whether you are a fitness fanatic or a couch potato (me).

The people are very friendly and are able to give personal attention. They are Professional and helpful, while at the same time making you feel at home.

Just had an initial consultation. And, even as a confirmed gymophobe, I have to admit, I felt inspired and motivated to work hard to improve my health. The gym has a really friendly atmosphere and helps you work to realistic goals. With supportive staff on hand, I donʼt think you could be disappointed.

Genesis is a very friendly gym where all ages and levels of fitness are catered for. Anyone who has been put off by large impersonal gyms who take your money and do nothing for it will welcome the difference at Genesis. I actually enjoy keeping fit these days.
