Visit us and it will soon become clear that this is the last place you’d ever expect to find an engineering company, off the beaten track, surrounded by green fields; it truly is “the back-end of beyond”.
And that according to BT was the problem with our broadband connection, we were at the end of the line, our signal was too weak, we were lucky to receive the meagre unreliable broadband service they were providing and to make things worse, according to them, it could take years before the problem was resolved.
This was not the news we wanted to hear, we were ready, willing but unable to embrace the benefits offered by the World Wide Web and E-Commerce.
We had to do something;
By a pure fluke we contacted Daubeneys, based in Colerne and met Ian, he visited us and after making several abortive attempts to convince BT that it was possible for us to have a reliable system, he undertook provide us with one that would met our needs, be fast, reliable and would come in “on our modest budget”.
After some research and trials he installed unobtrusive aerials that “bounce” a signal across the valley from a receiver our problem was resolved in a matter of weeks with no disruption to our works, zero environmental impact and well within budget, now every computer in our works can access a fast reliable broadband service, our e-mail facility is superb and secure, the world is our oyster, but there was more.
We now relax knowing that should we encounter any problems with our computers Ian is there and “remote access” means we can sit back and watch as he puts things right without even having to be on site, we chose local expertise and we have never looked back.
