I came from the United States and found driving in England fairly frightening. I took driving lessons from another driving school, and just about gave up on being able to pass a test here....

I placed an order overnight for some vinyl lettering with Minuteman and had a response when I logged on this morning. This was quickly followed by a visit from Bradley who checked to see that what he had made up was just right....

  • Bath Rugby

Bath Rugby announce today changes to its senior management structure. Bruce Craig, Chairman of the Club, will assume the role of Executive Chairman effective from 1st September 2014. Nick Blofeld will step up to a wider group role, taking over responsibility for a number of key projects, including a focus on the potential Rec redevelopment, which would secure a long-term home for the Club.

Supporting Bruce Craig will be Mike Ford (Head Coach) and David Thompson (Performance Director), managing all aspects of the rugby side of the business. Tarquin McDonald (Finance & Strategy Director), will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the non-rugby side of the business.

Bruce Craig said, "I am very proud of the progress made by Bath Rugby under Nick's direction over the last five years and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for all he has done for the Club to date. I am delighted that, in his new role, he will continue to focus on a number of key projects, including the potential Rec redevelopment, the on-going development of Farleigh House and support for the Bath Rugby Foundation. I am very much looking forward to next season and I am confident that we will see all our hard work bear further fruit in the seasons ahead."

Nick Blofeld said, "I have been privileged to lead a great Club over these last few years and to set it in the right direction for long term success. I'm now looking forward to concentrating even more on trying to keep Bath Rugby at the Rec, as well as a few other key projects, and to being able to watch the team's successes next year and beyond."

Bath & North East Somerset Council Children’s Centres in the Somer Valley have kicked-started the summer holidays by organising a programme of fun events for youngsters.

They have a number of events coming up in August which they are hoping will attract children from across the area.

    They include:

    25-07-2014 09:51:27

Do you want to get rid of something you don’t wish to keep and to pick up something else for free?

If so, why not come along to Bath & North East Somerset Council’s recycling team’s Give and Take Day on Saturday, 26 July?

It’s being held from 10am to 1pm at Saltford Hall, Wedmore Road, Saltford, Bristol BS31 3BY. The last donation will be accepted at 12 noon.

This Give and Take Day is a ‘re-use event’, where residents will have a chance to get rid of household items they no longer need and pick up something they need for free.
