My daughter had her 21st birthday party at the Golden Lion on Saturday 11th February and Carl and Vicky were absolutely wonderful. They looked after all our guests and their staff were really friendly and efficient too.

The Golden Lion has turned a corner I hope! The new landlord and lady are a very welcome addition to this used to be popluar social magnet.
All the staff are very pleasant to both regulars but also more importantly the new visitors whilst encouraging new activities to this public house, such as "Basingstoke Mini Club, Quiz Night, Disco Karaoke and darts competitions" to name just a few
They keep a fine range of real ales on tap and wine along with soft drinks and soon to be added with fine food!

Under new ownership and more homely than ever . This is a fantastic pub with friendly staff and a great bunch of regulars to match. The pub has a Pool table, Dart Board and one of the best Juke Box's you will find in the town. It has a heated rear smoking area and plenty of room to sit out in the sun at the front. The drinks are well priced and bar snacks are available. Home to the Basingstoke Mini Club. Quiz night on Thursday. Well recommended.
