Ben Wheeler Pianos are a specialist piano company situated in the Basingstoke area. Our showroom is in Little London, on the outskirts of Basingstoke, and houses a carefully selected range of upright and grand pianos to suit all playing abilities and budgets. Our new pianos are chosen for their impressive build quality and musical performance and represent what we believe to be the best instruments in their class. We are the official centre for Bluthner Pianos in South East England and appointed agents for Grotrian Steinweg, Kawai, Wendl & Lung and Schreiner & Sohne Pianos.
Second hand pianos are chosen with equal care and are meticulously checked and prepared by us to ensure they are performing to their full potential. We are able to supply most makes and models of upright or grand pianos and Ben or Neil are always happy to discuss any requirements and offer help and advice. Our approach is informal and relaxed and we demonstrate our showroom pianos by appointment. We are committed to offering a quality service before, during and after buying a piano from us and continue to tune and maintain the pianos of our Basingstoke customers for many years.
Ben Wheeler
Ben grew up in the Basingstoke area and has been a professional piano tuner and technician since 1991. His Father, Bob, now semi retired, has tuned pianos in and around Basingstoke for over 30 years. As well as running Ben Wheeler Pianos, Ben maintains a successful piano tuning business and is a fully qualified member of the Pianoforte Tuners Association. He has played the piano for most of his life and combines his musical appreciation of the piano with his technical expertise when selecting pianos and advising customers.
Neil Barkus
Neil is well known in the Basingstoke area after working for Modern Music for over 28 years. As a former director of Modern Music, Neil and Ben have been friends and colleagues for many years. Neil shares Ben's enthusiasm for the piano, and for providing a quality service, and uses his considerable experience and expertise as a piano dealer to help and advise customers.
