What a great night last night was. I was lucky enough to be invited for a meal at the wonderful Mayflower Chinese Restaurant at the top of town http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/basingstoke/business-guide/feature/mayflower/25642 and what a great meal we had. The vocal entertainment by Hiro Fam was superb and only briefley surpassed by an exquisite rendition by local 'birthday' girl Jodie Steele. The whole restaurant was transfixed on her performance which was quite honestly outstanding. I see a recording deal on the horizon there. Thank you to our hosts Pamela and Alan Cheng and of course to our wonderful Mayor, Cllr Bian Gurden who was guest of honour for the evening which was in aid of the Mayor's well deserved charities.
