A BIT ABOUT US
We first opened back in 1989, the Towngate Theatre then after a period of partial closure reopened in the Summer of 2006.
We like to have a wide and varied choice of shows which are put together by our own Towngate Promotions, as well as popular, entertaining and occasionally, more cultural and controversial productions brought in from elsewhere. We aim to please a wide spectrum of people throughout Basildon and all surrounding areas.
The Towngate Theatre can be hired for stage performances, concerts, exhibitions, as well as business conferences, dinners and seminars.
WHY COME TO US
We are easy to find and central, right in the middle of Basildon Town Centre. We are less than a 5 minute walk from both the Town's bus and rail stations. We also have ample car parking (with the majority of which is free after 6pm).
