A BIT ABOUT US

We are based in Thundersley, Benfleet and we hold weekly classes which are enjoyed by our regulars and new comers. Our classes are about having fun over a cuppa and whilst having a natter!

CLASSES

Why not come along and join our friendly classes, we have a cup of tea and a good chat.

Knitting Classes

Our knitting classes last around 2 hours. Why not come along and have a cuppa and a natter! All we ask if you bring your knitting projects, questions and concerns.

Beading Classes

Our beading classes are for a 6 week course and you learn a variety of basic beadweaving stitches, each with its own project.

Bead Studio Nights

Our bead studio nights are for 2 hours and we will teach you techniques by request, help with projects, offer special patterns, and share ideas, enthusiasm all over a cuppa and a natter .

Brick Stitch Classes

Learn ladder and brick stitches - project ideas supplied.

Peyote Stitch Classes

Learn the basics of flat peyote, a versatile and traditional stitch.

WOOL AND HABERDASHERY SHOP

As Bodkins we believe we have he largest selection of Beads, Buttons, Ribbons, Wool and Haberdashery in and around the Basildon area.

We are a one-stop haberdashery shop, so pop along to our shop and browse our excellent wide and varied choice of beads, wool, buttons, ribbons, etc.

WOOL

Our wide choice of colours and wools is second to none. We stock all weights of wool from baby 2-ply to Aran to ultra chunky. We also have a large stock of fashion yarns and wools for funky knitting, quick knit scarves, accessories and much more.

We have a fantastic choice of beads, in all shapes, sizes, materials and colours. We have a large assortment of seed beads, bugles, fringe components, crystals and feature beads, as well as beading threads, supplies, and gadgets.

We have buttons of all shapes, sizes, and colours, as well as many one-of-a-kind vintage buttons. Whether you're looking for the perfect buttons to brighten up your favourite garment or planning to use them in jewellery or card making - our stock is huge and you will find the perfect buttons you are looking for.

PATTERNS

Our stock of patterns suits all tastes, from traditional garments to the more funky and trendy, we have patterns for hats, scarves, children's favourites, soft toys, garments, etc.

We also have vintage patterns which have long been out of print, these patterns are irreplaceable and will be loaned out on receipt of a modest deposit.
