GCSE results were released today and A Level results last week, so thousands of students across the country will be celebrating their successes. If you’re looking for the perfect places to toast in your exam results in the Barrow and Furness area look no further, as we’ve got a selection of top class restaurants to dine in.

The Naaz Indian Restaurant prepares delicious Indian food at their venue in Ulverston. You’ll find both traditional Indian and English cuisine, like chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, omelette and biryani. The enormous selection of sides and accompaniments on offer to your dishes include naan bread, bhaji and aloo gobi, plus many varieties of rice. Vegetarians can savour a large menu just for them too and there’s even a children’s menu for any younger members of the family that are celebrating with you.

The White Hart bed and breakfast is a delightful position outside of Barrow and Furness and close to the Lake District. It has a tantalising mix of lovely English and oriental dishes, like yummy scampi, sirloin steak, Cumberland sausage and chicken korma. The wine list is very extensive and there is a salad and vegetarian menu for non-meat eaters.

Hartley’s Restaurant has a distinctly Mediterranean feel to its menu, although they have such a huge choice of meals there will be something for everyone to enjoy. They prepare mouth-watering pasta dishes, seafood platters, meat feasts, pizza, terrific desserts and so much more to tuck into. There is a kids menu available too.

The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel always has a scrumptious 3 course menu to dig into, like tuna pasta bake, fish and chips, burgers, pizzas and pies. The children’s menu is almost as big as the adult menu and is all homemade. The Mill at Ulverston has links with The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel and is the prime place to have a few drinks before eating their bistro food such as the steak and ale pies. Gammon and shoulder of lamb.

The Queens Arms at Biggar is a lovely pub with many classic dishes on the menu, such as hot pot, chilli con carne and baked potato.

Finally The General Burgoyne Inn has a good children’s and adults menu, which boasts many gorgeous dishes including Thai Chicken Curry, sausage and mash, fish and chips and other traditional pub food favourites. If you’re celebrating at home they have a takeaway menu for your convenience.

Wherever you end up celebrating tonight, we hope you have a brilliant time!
