Barrow Foodbank tirelessly support those in our community who are in need all year round. They are always busy - but Christmas is the busiest time of the year for them.
Last year they fed over 1000 people in December alone, so planning for this year is a prioty for them.
You'll have noticed that the supermarkets are stocking up for Christmas now, with lots of food on the shelves, so with that in mind Barrow Foodbank have released a shopping list of products that it would like supplies of to continue the amazing work they do in the community.
Barrow Foodbank would really appreciate donations of the following items:
Tinned Ham
Tinned Salmon
Boxes/tubs/bags of chocolates
Boxes of biscuits
Tinned potatoes
Christmas puddings
Christmas Cakes
Christmas svouries (twiglets, cheddars, crackers)
Selection boxes
Gravy granules.
So, please, if you can, help spread some Christmas cheer this year and drop a few extra items into your basket and donate them to Barrow Foodbank (please try to ensure that expiry dates are not before Christmas Day if possible)
