These regular, free weekly sessions start on Saturday 29th June 2019 and continue right through to October

 

Sessions take place every Saturday between 11.30am-12. 30pm and the club are delighted to be creating the ¨BARROW GIRLS RUGBY DEVELOPMENT SQUAD¨ at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium

 

They will be inviting all girls aged 8 years old up to 16 from all schools in the area to join together FREE OF CHARGE with Siona Hartley - Barrow Raiders Community Liason Officer, PNG Star players - Watts, Willie and Star, together with Paige LIvingstone -Dowdales P.E. teacher, Barrow Island Ladies Team plus sports leader and students from Furness College.

 

There are absolutely no barriers, just come along, get involved, have fun and learn rugby

 

Through these weekly sessions there is the opportunity to take your skills further into competitive rugby. The focus will be on developing girl’s rugby in all our local schools and produce a pathway to Barrow Islands Ladies Team eventually, with attendance to trainings and inclusion in their professional team

 

Barrow rugby are very committed to their community programmes and have a responsibility to help younger women develop healthy habits, become involved in sports, spend time outdoors, develop positive mental and physical health, work as a team and drop this forever tempting  ¨screen ¨world.
