A good old-fashioned indoor market. It's not huge but it's definitely worth a visit. It's amazing what you can find on some of the stalls. The other day I found a very obscure book on the book stall I'd been looking for for ages. Billy's fruit and vegetables are always very fresh.

Lots of independent traders. Very friendly. A variety of (traditional market place type?) goods. Worth checking out.

A good local market. Certainly better than my home town! A good selection of stalls. Quite a few haberdashery and craft traders, but Ulverston seems to be a "crafty" town
