With Easter still 2 weekends away and many school's broken up for the two week break we feel that it is our duty as your local website to inspire you as to things you may want to see or do (if you are not lucky enough to be jetting off somewhere fabulous).

Barnstaple and North Devon offers a massive variety of places to go, things to do and all within a 'stone's throw' of your doorstep!

It doesn't have to be expensive or take much time, but uninhibited family time is a quality that seems to be lacking in most households, what with financial and work pressures taking their toll. We at Thebestof Barnstaple believe that we can help you to enjoy the time together and have a few ideas to get you started.

So here are our ideas:

Pannier Markets

In Barnstaple, South Molton and Ilfracombe, you will find the Pannier Markets and with them an array of produce, home-wares, clothing and much more besides. Open all year round you are certain to bag yourselves a bargain, whilst buying local.  Our very own Sorella Living has stalls at both Barnstaple and South Molton, selling the very best quality home-ware at the best possible prices, why not pop down and say hello?

Barnstaple Town Football Club

For the sport mad people in our midst, the clubhas 3 nhome fixtures before Easter. With a family friendly atmosphere, a great afternoon out or evening can be had by one and all, go along and support your local team! Fixtures here

High Bickington Spring Fair

Sunday 6th April, between 10.30 and 15.30, visit High Bickington's village Spring Fair. With plenty to do for adults and children alike, great food, fabulous atmosphere and stalls to browse, another chance to buy local and support North Devon Hospice while you are at it!

Crafty Kids with KK Design Originals

Over two weeks, on Tuesday 8th and 15th April between 10.00 and 12.30, KK Design Originals in South Molton has once again opened their doors to provide a couple of hours of creative fun for children aged 7 upwards to make their very own chickens. Spaces are limited so call and book on 01271 308106, so that you are not disappointed, £12 per child that includes juice and cookies.

Quince Honey Farm

Call Quince Honey Farm on 01769 572401 for more details surrounding their Easter Events, but great fun is to be had by all.  Visit the bees, beehives, learn about the making of honey and then stop for coffee and cake and let the children blow off some steam in their fabulous soft play area.  Top the visit off with a visit to their gift shop and maybe purchase a small jar of their very own honey!

A Trip to the Point-To-Point Racing

Whether you are horsey mad or not, the fresh air of Exmoor and the stunning backdrop of scenery should be all you need for an afternoon at the point-to-point at Upcott Cross.  Join the fun on Sunday April 13th.

If their are any events you attend that you feel the need to share, we would love to hear from you! Call Thebestof Barnstaple on 01271 308082 and let us know. We would also like your views on any of the events you may happen to attend that we have mentioned.

Thebestof Barnstaple would like to wish everybody a very Happy Easter!!
