Michelle at Mind Body & Spirit offers Hatha Yoga classes and Pilates tuition at all levels. You can choose from group yoga classes or opt for private one-to-one sessions.

Hatha Yoga
Michelle began yoga herself at the age of 5 and discovered that it had a dramatic effect on her health and wellbeing.
Hatha Yoga promotes flexibility and strength, calms the body, mind and breathing and results in a more centred feeling. It is excellent for relieving stress.
It includes chanting, meditation, pranayama (breathing) and asana practice (yoga).
Hatha Yoga classes are also extremely effective in helping people to recover after chemotherapy and can help with pain management.
Michelle of Mind Body & Spirit of Barnsley treats many pregnant women with Hatha Yoga - and their new found suppleness is extremely beneficial during childbirth. Yoga and Pilates combined with meditation and breathing exercises are calming, relaxing and help to manage pain.
Pilates at all levels
Pilates helps with fitness and flexibility - realigning the spine and hips and relieving stress. It can build muscle strength and therefore help to relieve pressure on joints.

Held in a heated private swimming pool, aqua Pilates works muscles and joints - and mobilises the body, helping with strength and flexibiity.

A one-to-one session with Michelle covers diet, nutrition advice, health, wellbeing and allows her to devise a tailored programme of fitness and nutrition, which will include yoga and Pilates.

Iʼve been attending Michelleʼs classes for just over 2 years now. I do one Yoga and one Pilates class per week. I suffer with neck pain and was told by my Osteo to take up Pilates to improve my posture and core strength, which iʼm pleased to say iʼve noticed a great deal of improvement. Michelle is a great teacher, she is very patient and makes the classes interesting and fun, i look forward to going to them unlike when i had gym membership!
I have been attending Michelleʼs pilates classes for just over a year. The classes have really improved my fitness levels, Michelle works at your pace and ensures that the classes are great fun. She keeps the classes interesting by changing the exercises. She ensures that we are kept challenged by increasing complexity of the exercises so that I can really see that I am improving. I would recommend the classes to anyone, of any age and any level of fitness.
Friendly and fun classes - all ages. Michelle is an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor. Classes range from beginners to the more advanced. There is no competition as you work at your own pace and fitness levels. I attend three classes per week - yoga and pilates - and even enjoy workouts at home. My fitness level and flexibilty has improved and will continue to improve in time.
