How would you like FREE TRAINING, for you and your staff, to help improve your business?

What is this all about?

There is a new initiative for businesses with fewer than 250 staff which offers FREE TRAINING for their workers. It’s called Skills Support for the Workforce (SS4W) and the aim is to help small and medium businesses to grow by improving the skills of their employees.

Who is it for?

Sole traders, not-for-profit organisations, charities and limited companies based in London.

What’s in it for my business?

It’s designed to help the businesses grow and thrive. When staff improve their skills, they become more motivated, efficient and capable in carrying out their daily tasks which in turn improves commitment, performance and profitability!

How much does it cost?

Nothing, it’s completely free. SS4W is a government initiative co-funded by the European Social Fund.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch. What’s more, you can enquire or apply, and if you decide it’s not for you, you can back out.

Who is running it?

The training is delivered by Barnet and Southgate College.

What training is available?

It could be anything from a one day course in a bespoke specialism area to NVQs up to Level 4 (depending on the size of the organisation).

The training could be delivered on your premises (during or after hours) or at Barnet or Southgate College. It really depends on the needs and requirements of the business, but ideally we prefer Work Place Training to minimise the disruption on your day to day working.

How does it work?

The college will work with you to identify your business needs; spot how staff training may help and design training programmes suited to your needs. The training can be delivered in the workplace to minimise time off the job.

What’s the deadline?

Places are limited and we’re looking to fill them all this month so, if you are interested, don’t delay.

How do I find out more?
