I keep coming back each week. I am not sure why I keep coming back. I think the chef puts something addictive in the food. I recommend the giant prawns - they taste like lobster.

The Sheesh Mahal has been my indian restaurant of choice for many years now. I occasionally go somewhere else and am always disappointed and come back. The food at the Sheesh Mahal is amazing, full of complex flavours, and the guys are friendly and the service always good. I don't have a bad word to say about them!

I cannot recommend this establishment more highly. Beautiful decor, lovely atmosphere and food to die for..... As a Brummie living in Banbury, I know a bit about curries! Forget the rest, the Sheesh Mahal is the best!

Mr Khalid & his staff run an extremely friendly restaurant. The food is probably the best Indian cuisine I have eaten (I travel frequently and try many). It is great to return to Banbury after a business trip to be welcomed in such a way.

We recently treated ourselves to a meal at the Sheesh Mahal after hearing rave reviews from friends. We were not disappointed and would highly recommend this restaurant.

The last time we had such fine curries was in some top restaurants in London. You really must try the tandoori giant king prawns! Even the rice and sag paneer were delicate and exquisite. The drinks too were just right; from a cool Cobra beer, glass of red wine and finally a coffee with the kulfi. All the flavours were balanced and truly delicious.

The customer service was helpful and non intrusive; we really felt welcomed and are looking forward to our next visit.
