This disticntive ex-hunting lodge features distinctive Dutch gables and was actually a scaled down copy of the main Manor House of the Dering Estate.
These days the Dering arms offers a fine dining experience. Since taking over in 1984, James Buss has received many awards and recommendations for his Fish and Seafood meals. This excellent 'gastro' pub now has a reputation for it's fine food and high standards.
The bars are traditional filled with old furniture and in the winter warm open fires. No games machines or Jukeboxes just the sound of laughter and conversation, just as an old english pub should be.
Regular events such as the gourmet evening are very popular so do book early to avoid disappointment.
