The Plough Inn, Ashbourne, is a proper pub. Everyone is welcome - locals and visitors, regulars and occasional drinkers, oldies and children. With two bars, one smaller and traditional, the other larger and more contemporary there is a place to suit everyone. There's decent beer and homemade food. And with the range of activities on offer throughout the week there is entertainment to suit everyone too. All this might sound contrived, but it isn't -Ashbourne's The Plough Inn is just a proper Public House.

Michelle and Anthony took over The Plough Inn in November 2006. Michelle has put proper homemade food onto the bar menu. You can't argue with homemade steak and ale pie, lasagne, a veggie dish or two and homemade chips amongst other tasty dishes.
Anthony takes care of the beers and puts on cask ales, including Abbot Ale, which is popular with Ashbourne's pub-goers. He's also put in a wide screen TV with Sky Sports for all the top sports matches.
