Mitre receives funding and grants to provide suitable training and business support in these areas around Ashbourne. Mitre has already undertaken the process of filling in the paperwork and receiving the funding, so all you need to do is contact them to find out what is available to you. Their team will check to see if you can jump onto one of their existing courses around Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales and Staffordshire Moorlands areas, or meet up to discuss how best to fulfill your particular training and development need.
Mitre's local training and development workshops on offer around Ashbourne include:

- IT for Business - learn how to be efficient and effective
- You and Your Business - work up a 12 month plan and receive individual support developing your business.
Training and development workshops are run during the daytime and in the evening, in local venues.
Mitre would particularly like to hear from businesses in the Staffordshire Moorlands because this area currently qualifies for high levels of funding. Funding
Mitre is able to offer funding for many of its services because of funding received from the European Social Fun and the Regional Learning and Skills Councils. The availability of this funding does vary so please check with us.
Accreditation
Mitre Group has gained accreditation from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to offer Voacationally Related Qualificiations (VRQs) up to Level 5. Mitre is also accredited by City & Guilds to offer National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
The Adult Learning Inspectorate assessed Mitre Group in 2007 as 'Good' for both Quality of Learning and Management & Leadership - one of the highest grades that can be achieved. A comment from the report is, "Mitre Group is very flexible in its course delivery and will customise both timing and location."
