The wife and I stayed here for a long weekend, bringing our new greyhound along for his first holiday with us.
The cottage is wonderful: smart and warm, and ideally placed for local walks and Alton Towers. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and well equipped, while the rest of the cottage is traditional. The owners are friendly and welcoming, supplying firewood, tea and milk for our arrival. We really loved our stay.
One warning, though: if your dog is somewhat independently minded, as ours can be, thereʼs no fenced-off garden to let him out for a wee. We had to ʼwalkʼ him out each bedtime.
My kids probably think that Splash Landings was the highlight of our long weekend. We had a great morning there, but I really enjoyed my walk over to Whiston Barn.
Youʼve got a great place in a gorgeous location.
Iʼd recommend you to others looking for somewhere to go in the UK
