So, no more snow . . . for a while.
During a break in the weather I went into Ashbourne to stock up on essential supplies and enjoy a change of scene. The place was like a ghost town. Lots of shops were closed completely, some were on reduced hours, and others had forlorn-looking staff hoping to see a customer. Times are tough on the high street when shoppers don't venure out of their cosy homes.
Now that the weather is sending us lashings of rain rather than snow I hope that shoppers will venture out locally. The forecast for tomorrow (Saturday) is really bad, but maybe people are completely fed up of being cooped up indoors. We'll see.
