Cannot believe the letter that I just received from the school saying that my daughter must NOT wear plimsolls for PE or she will get an hour detention! It quotes health and safety and everything .... unbelievable!
Apparently plimsolls are no longer considered 'suitable' for PE ....

"Just ridiculous ... I thought plimsolls were gym shoes! Apparently they have to wear 'appropraite footwear' which Hampshire County Counctil deem to be laced trainers and NOT plimsolls."
