The Carnival Committee have announced the date for 2010 - Sunday 11th July and the theme will be Musicals (Now rescheduled to 18th July so as not to coincide with the world cup final)
It has been suggested that floats may come back, like in the old days before health and safety issues and insurance claims reared their ugly heads
I'm curious to find out the statistics here - how many participants in a carnival procession on a float have come a cropper and how many spectators of a carnival procession have been mowed down or injured?
Don't get me wrong, health issues are paramount - over the years I have struggled with the logic of banning of playing conkers or that children can't leave the classroom for a break if it is raining in case they slip over
Has this lunacy come about because a woman in the US bought a coffee at McD's put it between her legs and drove off soon to be scolded and she won '000's
