Out for a Sunday staff, my husband and I came across the Axe & Cleaver. Our first foot through the door required a warm welcome by the land lady, followed by the best service I have experienced for a long time. We left with big smiles after having had the best food and knowing we had found a local inn which we would bring all our friends and family too. "A" for customer service.

This is one of my favourite pubs in the Altrincham area.

The surroundings are really peaceful, the staff are really friendly and offer a good selection of ales.

There's plenty of parking space, and being in Dunham village it;s the ideal place to begin or end a walk around Dunham Massey.
