Well, following on from the great success of our 'Magnificent 7' Altrincham restaurants, we decided to find out who the locals thought were the best six local pubs and why - Altrincham's 'Super Six' Pubs.
Taking to the doors, we asked hundreds of locals to nominate their favourite pub in the Altrincham area (including Dunham, Hale, Bowdon and Timperley). Why did people recommend their favourite local as best? Some mentioned the quality ales served at the pub, others the good company, good live music, ambience, live sports, location, beer gardens etc.
We've finally collected the results and unearthed Altrincham's 'Super Six' Pubs. They are, in order of popularity, as follows:
