Hi I'm Miguel Navarrete and in October 2009 I'll be moving to China for a year to promote my business Live and Learn Languages. This will be a completely new experience for me and my wife Beth, so I wanted to let you know how we get on.
From the initial planning of our trip, to all the experiences we have over there, I hope this blog will be both interesting and educational. If you've visited or lived in China I'd love to hear of any tips you may have. Things to do, and things to avoid, things that make life easier etc.
Well, good news we now have our flights! We were hoping to fly with BA but ended up finding a better deal with Emirates, which we're very happy with because they're one of the best airlines. So we fly on October 27th from Manchester to Hong Kong. We'll spend a few weeks there where we plan to sort our our visas and do a little sight seeing, and then we head to our destination in mainland China.
