Iʼve experienced flotation sessions elsewhere in the country but they were in large pools with other people at the same time. The benefit of the single pod (and comfortable private room) is that you can be completely alone in silence (or with music) and the pod provides complete darkness (if you want it). I have a back problem that has been fully investigated but has no cure. Flotation is the only thing Iʼve found that doesnʼt aggrivate it - because of the total weightlessness - and enables full relaxation
I was given a voucher for a session in the Floatation Pod, and had know idea what to expect! When i arrived i was greated with a warm, friendly welcome and shown the Floatation Pod and how to use it, I was immediatly put at ease. I was abit unsure at first how floating in the water for an hour would benefit me. Oh how i wrong was i!! I quickly relaxed and was surprised how much i liked it! Before i knew it, it was time to get out! I quickly booked another session and the experience was better than the first, as i knew what to expect. I actually fell asleep!! I would highly recommend this, especially if you have a busy life and never seem to stop! Truely relaxing! Im definatly going back! Thank You Body Check!
Iʼd just like to say that I find Body Check to have the prefect mix of total professionalism with friendliness.I find their sports injury treatment to be very effective. I put this down to the fact that the therapist listens to me and is responsive to (and, very importantly, able to respond to) my needs for appropriate massage techniques for my varous injuries/problems.
Body Check offers a thoroughly professional service. They are attentive and knowledgeable which all comes with a smile. Having had major heart surgery some three years ago Body Check really helped with my recovery they really have been exceptional.
Having enjoyed a full body massage and then a few days later experienced a total relaxation in the floatation pod, I can without any reservation,fully recommend that you also try those experiences. Suffering severely with arthritis in most joints of my body I can honestly say that on both counts I was greatly helped with the releif of the pain.The floatation pod is an almost unique experience but one that is well worth trying.
Body Check is a superbly friendly and professional service - as a previously sceptical user of sports therapy / massage (i.e. they never seemed to really do anything!), I was recommended Body Check by a friend...so i thought I would see if they could help with a sports injury that was really limiting my training.The atmosphere at Bodycheckʼs facility is relaxed, and immediately "welcoming" - I was immediately put at ease, and made to feel very much like an individual, not just another client. The therapist (Claire) was obviously well trained and delivered a combination of ultrasound and massage therapy superbly - put it this way...the injury was 80% better after just one session! I have since returned for a second session to aid the healing of the injury, and the service is consistently excellent, from start to finish.A top local service - I will be a regular for sure - thank you!
