Rushmoor is largely made up of two internationally renowned Hampshire towns of Aldershot and Farnborough. It has a population of 90,987: 33,840 in Aldershot (including 5,000 military personnel) and 57,147 in Farnborough.
Rushmoor (including Aldershot and Farnborough ) forms the heart of the Blackwater Valley. Communication links with other parts of the UK are excellent, with both the M3 and M4 close by and there are two main line stations with frequent services to London (Waterloo), with North Camp station just outside the Borough adding a direct link to Gatwick Airport. Furthermore, for those with international links, Farnborough Aerodrome is a business aviation centre and both Gatwick and Heathrow are close by. The Borough offers an excellent environment in which to live, with great leisure facilities, lovely forest walks, good housing and easy access to London, the New Forest and the South Coast.
