Shopping in Aldershot Town Centre

Bookmark and Share

I spent a thoroughly pleasant afternoon shopping in Aldershot on Saturday. Now I know Aldershot Town Centre has received bad press and there is room for improvement but for me, the afternoon was enjoyable and stress free. I had lots of parking options, all within easy walking distance of the shops, I did not have to wait in horrendous queues to make my purchases, every member of staff that served me was courteous and helpful and I bought everything I needed without traipsing miles.

Perhaps it's because I grew up in a small market town, where the most exciting place to shop was Woolworths and the only other options were small boutiques, completely out of my price range. So now I'm grateful for a few more high street names in-filled with bargain basement stores.

Granted, that something special, sometimes means that I have to travel further afield, pay extortionate parking fees, exhaust myself walking from one end of a shopping centre to the other, spend hours queuing, only to get grunted at by staff that have had enough and just want to go home as much as I do.

Generally though, I like the familiarity and convenience of shopping in Aldershot Town Centre.

Do you know what Sarah, I agree with you! It is a good place to shop with little ones as you don't have to worry about traffic in the pedestrian areas and I usually like to have a little sit down and a treat in the Caffe Maccchiato which is such a great find! report abuse...
