Green Fun Day

What fun we had at the annual Green Fun Day at the Princes Hall!

I love the idea of introducing these important enviromental concepts to our children at an age where they just accept it all and join in as a most natural thing! I took my littlies along and thy loved the real wildlife garden that was  inside!

Although my little boy refused to have his face painted ( he does not like suddenly being so unrecoglisable!) many little bumble bee faces were walking about and looked very sweet! We made a mask to take home instead and had a great time getting very dirty in the clay modelling area. We now have a strange looking (elephant/turtle/tiger?) creature sitting on the table that smiles oddly at us as we go by to remind us to go a gain next year too.

From an adult s view, it was good to see what the council is doing to meet the targets it has set for recycling and I have signed up for the new brown wheelie bin garden waste collection service so look forward to getting that soon! With all the leaves and autumn waste piling up I hope it is quick!
