The free mobile farm has been organised by Rushmoor Borough Council, and will be set up in Union Street giving shoppers the chance to meet goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits and much more.

David Phillips, Aldershot Town Centre Manger, at Rushmoor Borough Council, said: “We are really excited to be hosting a mobile farm for shoppers next weekend. This is the first time we have done something like this and I hope that parents will take the opportunity to bring their children along to this free, fun and above all educational experience.”

The event is just one of the many activities going on in Aldershot town centre over the coming weeks. On Saturday 4 September, Victoria Day will be returning with its colourful parade and authentic side stalls. The town will also see the return of the Italian market, Italia in Piazza, selling a selection of traditional meats and breads on Saturday 11 September.

The animals will be coming from the Mill Cottage Farm Experience, a local mobile farm near Alton. For more information about the Mill Cottage Farm Experience, please visit www.mcfe.org.uk
