Aldershot Live Music Day will encourage local musicians to show off their talents in the town centre between 12noon and 4pm. The performances will take place in Union Street and Wellington Street.
The free event is open to individuals and bands of all standards; from music students, buskers, and amateurs, to professional musicians. All types of music are welcome.
Up-and-coming artists who would like to be involved in the day are encouraged to contact the Princes Hall in Aldershot to book a slot on 01252 398570. Basic PA equipment can be provided for the day.
David Phillips, Town Centre and Cultural Manager at Rushmoor Borough Council, said: “Aldershot Live Music Day is a brand new event, which we are hoping will bring a whole variety of music into the town. We are keen to encourage as many people as possible to be a part of it. There is a vibrant local music scene, and this event will make it that much more accessible”.
