01/06/2013Abingdon Town Council has joined forces with the Oxfordshire Play Association to bring together two of Abingdon's big annual events - Fun in the Park and Play Day. The joint venture (Fun in the Park) will take place in the Abbey Grounds. The aim is to give families a chance to spend affordable quality time together by promoting physical activity, encouraging community spirit, and the opportunity to have a go at something new and to promote local clubs and societies....

01/06/2013Following on from Fun in the Park, n the evening we will be hosting Music in the Park with local bands providing the entertainment - Prisoners of Katrina, Green Onions (UK Blues Brothers Tribute Band) and Abingdon Town Band performing the Proms. There will also be two individual artists - Michael Buble/Bruno Mars tribute act and one other, yet to be confirmed. The evening will finish with a grand firework display by Spyrotechnics....
