Abingdon United Football Club have struck oil by attracting a sponsorship deal with American company Armadillo Energy Inc.
The Oklahoma outfit have made an initial cash injection and will add their support on the business side by developing the commercial aspects of the club.
The Northcourt ground will be renamed the Armadillo Energy Stadium.
The deal was negotiated with Armadillo regional executive Will O’Keeffe, who lives nearby, and it is hoped it will be extended to three years.
