Situated on Ock Street right in the heart of town opposite the square, the Dil Raj  has an attractive and welcoming exterior that belies the spacious and well appointed interior.  Tables are well-spaced and the decor is contemporary without succumbing to the usual cliches.

While the environment is friendly and comfortable, it’s really the quality of the food and the service that is all important to the Dil Raj. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients and particularly on using only minimal artificial additives, colouring without any GM products.

The service staff are very keen to ensure each dish is cooked toi your individual taste and heat preference; from a mild, creamy Korma to the most fiery Vindaloo.

The restaurant offers an extensive menu including dishes from all parts of the Indian subcontinent, supported by freshly baked nan and flatbreads. What’s more, the restaurant will always cook a dish to order even if you can’t see it on the menu.

The Dil Raj also offers a takeaway service if you'd prefer to enjoy your meal in the comfort of your own home. Delivery is free for orders over £25 within a four mile radius and there's a 20% discount with collection orders over £15.

The Dil Raj is open every day for lunch (12pm - 2.30pm) and dinner (6pm - 11.30pm).

For a very different dining experience, the The Vine and Spice  offers Indian fine dining within a superb countryside setting in Long Wittenham. The Vine and Spice experience is very different to the traditional high street Indian restaurant – from its diverse and unusual menu to its setting within a beautiful five-hundred-year-old Grade II listed building.

On arrival, you are immediately struck by the unique character of the restaurant with its exposed beams and original features combined with a modern twist.  Part of the restaurant’s charm is the three separate dining areas. The main dining area provides a cosy and intimate space, whilst at the upper level is a sophisticated dining area and also a Private Function Room.

Unusually, the restaurant also has a beautifully appointed garden area for outdoor dining and functions, as well as a separate bar area.

The Vine and Spice serves a fantastic selection of Indian cuisine, with a large range of seafood dishes and vegetarian options to choose from. Everything is prepared freshly to order using only the finest natural ingredients without additives or GM products. In particular the restaurant prides itself on serving the best in seasonal produce where possible.

The Vine and Spice can also cater for corporate events or private functions in their stylish Private Function Rooms.  There are  three rooms available to hire.

Panel Room:  Free Wi-Fi, theatre style layout for up to 50 guests or conference layout for up to 30 guests.

Lounge:  Free Wi-Fi, theatre style layout for up to 50 guests or conference layout for up to 30 guests

Function Room:  Free WiFi, private meeting room for up to 15 guests

The restaurant is open every day from 12 noon 'til 2.30pm and from 5.30pm 'til 11.00pm.
