If you are considering a career change, deciding not to go to university this year, or are looking for a portfolio career, have you considered the various options that fall under the "Complementary Health" banner?
These would include such therapies as Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, the Bowen Technique etc. etc.
If this is a route you are considering do make sure that you gain a qualification from a recognised body such as ITEC (International Therapy Examining Council) so that you will have the confidence and backing that only they can give once you start to practice.
These therapies can be offered to your clients on a a full or part-time basis - often practitioners start their business part-time whilst still working elsewhere and gradually phase the old job out and the new job in as the client base grows. Or you could work within a larger organisation - a sports club, fitness centre, Well Woman clinic etc.
If you are interested in talking further about your options give Jess at Barclay Academy for Complementary Health in Abingdon a ring and she will talk you through the possibilities.
