Bwlch Nant yr Arian (which means Mountain Pass of the Stream of Silver in Welsh), sits high above the Melindwr valley with commanding views of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains.

Visitor Centre

The eco friendly visitor centre and café serves excellent homemade food including Welsh cream teas with scones baked fresh every morning.

Open throughout the year from 10am to 5pm in the summer and 10am to 4.30pm in the winter (except Christmas day and Boxing day) why not come and relax and enjoy the beautiful view.

Activities

Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre in Aberystwyth offers a wide range of activities for the whole family - the two play areas and animal puzzle trail are very popular with the kids.

If you enjoy walking, why not enjoy a stroll along our all-ability lakeside walk or go for a longer walk along the waymarked trails - you're sure to find some of the best views in mid Wales.

For mountain bikers, Bwlch Nant yr Arian has some of the best trails to be found anywhere. If you have experience of mountain biking make sure you try the trails here.

Nature

Every day you can witness an extraordinary nature event at Bwlch Nant yr Arian including the feeding of the Red Kite.

At 3pm (BST) and 2pm (GMT) watch these masters of flight swoop down in their dozens to pick up the food that we leave out for them. It's a spectacle that will surely impress.
