I never tire of shopping at Waitrose. Their selection of everything is just fantastic and the staff are so friendly and relaxed, it makes doing the weekly shop a genuine pleasure. They have many excellent offers and basic lines in store which makes them surprisingly competitive and their speciality ranges are just the best.

The adage ʼyou get what you pay forʼ is especially true when it comes to buying food. At Waitrose your shopping wonʼt necessarily be the cheapest around, but you can always be sure of the quality. I particularly like the fact that the Abergavenny store always has plenty of local produce - cauliflowers and other veg, as well as the obvious (lamb, leeks!). Iʼve always found the checkout staff to be especially helpful and friendly. Itʼs a pleasure to shop here, and I choose to come every week and enjoy the experience rather than take advantage of their recently launched home delivery service.

I am lucky enough to have shopped at Waitrose for most of my life, and thatʼs some considerable time. While those years have passed, Waitrose and the John Lewis group have continued to maintain their high standards of service, quality and morality in all aspects of their business. Their stock selection is superb, and itʼs a comfort to know that they source so much of it from local producers. Simply walking round their stores beats all other supermarket experiences hands down.
