When my fridge freezer blew up one afternoon I never dreamed I'd have the perfect replacement in situ and ready to plug in the very next morning! Richards did a fantastic job of checking the market place for my ideal specification and even though, after all their efforts, I finally chose a fridge freezer they had on display, the staff were cheerful and helpful throughout. They even took my old fridge away - marvellous!

What I like about this store is that the one little item they don't have they will get for you. John Harrison and his girls are a tremendous advert for family business,and his staff are well trained and always obliging. I use the shop for a lot of my electrical buying and all other parts of the store are well liked by my wife and children, in other words I feel Richards has something to offer the whole family.

One of the best shops in Abergavenny. If you cannot find what you want at Richards you will not find it anywhere. The staff are always very helpful and obliging. A perfect shop for somebody who is not too good at DIY.

This is one of my favourite places in town – where else can you buy nails and screws singly or by weight in brown paper bags, and discuss power tools with helpful and knowledgeable assistants who are interested in your needs? Richards offer old fashioned values and state of the art products, as well as the day to day basics for the home. Forget superstores – this is where itʼs at.
