Shops like this can seem a little intimidating to men like me whoʼve grown up with the big High Street menswear chains, but this place is worth the effort. I found Ian to be remarkably helpful and non-patronising when I needed some advice regarding formal wear, and the items I eventually bought have turned out to be among the best quality clothing I have ever owned. Next time I need something a bit special, Iʼll be looking here first - easily the best menswear shop in the otherwise poorly served town of Abergavenny.

We hired suits from Ian Pountney for our wedding and they fitted perfectly. Mr Poutney and his wife were extremely helpful and made the whole suit picking process quite enjoyable! Thank you Mr Poutney for making my husband and his best man look so fab on our big day :)
